Crown Chambers commences second Pupillage programme

In line with our exceptional growth throughout 2021 and the success of our inaugural Pupillage programme, Crown Chambers is delighted to have welcomed its second cohort of Pupils.

Our four new Pupils have commenced their Pupillage this month, working side-by-side with their experienced Supervisors on various cases. Each of the four new Pupils will initially focus on either criminal or family law matters. The pupils will benefit from spending time with their supervisors to gain experience in all the areas of law we practice and see how each of us undertakes our work.

Meet the Pupils

Bede Porter – Bede is from the North-East and brings significant experience in local authority care proceedings and looks forward to a career as a specialist advocate. Sarah Fearon is supervising Bede on family law matters for the first part of his Pupillage.

Olivia McGeeney – Olivia is originally from the Sheffield region and is being supervised by David Godfrey in criminal law matters for the first part of her Pupillage. Prior to joining Crown Chambers, Olivia spent nine months advocating for young people involved in SEND processes with Sheffield City Council, where she obtained legal qualifications in SEN Law.

Harry Bradford – Harry is originally from Staffordshire and has a background in Forensic Linguistics, including an MSc qualification and regularly delivers talks and presentations on the subject and its place in criminal law. Harry is also a passionate advocate for equality and diversity issues. Harry will work alongside supervisor Naomi Madderson on family law matters for the first part of his Pupillage.

Marc Luxford – Marc is originally from Harrogate and joined our Pupillage programme following two years working with the Legal Advice Clinic covering a wide range of legal matters in support of a direct access Barrister. Marc will be working alongside Gaynor Hall as his supervisor on family law matters during the first part of his Pupillage.

The Pupils will be keeping you updated on their progress throughout their Pupillage at Crown Chambers via our social media pages and on our website.
