ABOUT EMMA

Emma is a former Solicitor-Advocate with a decade of experience specialising in Family Law. She qualified as a solicitor in 2009 before being called to the Bar in 2025.

Emma has represented local authorities in a wide range of public law children proceedings, including applications under the Children Act 198, care and placement proceedings and applications for Secure Accommodation Orders.

She has extensive experience of complex and sensitive cases involving serious injury, sexual abuse, child sexual exploitation, physical harm and neglect, learning and mental health difficulties, fabricated or induced illness, sexual harm, domestic abuse, forced marriage, international child abduction, and female genital mutilation. Emma is also experienced in High Court proceedings under the inherent jurisdiction, including Deprivation of Liberty applications and disputes concerning medical treatment.
